What is GoTellus?
GoTellus is a Geo-Social platform where posts, local chat groups and items for sale are placed and found by using a map.
Do you have to be registered?
This site and all the information within can be accessed without registration, although to use the Web App, registration is required.
How do I register?
Follow the links to the GoTellus Web App and select Register. You will only need your first name and your email address.
What is Geo-Location?
This relates to GPS co-ordinates, which are encoded into a four-number or four-word geo-location.
What is my4numbers?
My4numbers is a method to encode your GPS location, if you are blind, deaf or in a wheelchair, your Covid status and your current situation – into four easy numbers.
What are GPS Words?
GPS Words is a method to encode your GPS location along with if you are blind, deaf or in a wheelchair, your Covid status and your current situation – into four individual words.
How do I put my SOS onto the World Map?
Select SOS from the menu. Press ‘GPS’ and indicate your exact location on the map. Then select your SOS category and fill in the form, before pressing ‘encode’ and then ‘share’
Is this an official rescue service?
No. This is just a chat platform with no official services monitoring for SOS distress calls.
